Altersvorsorgedepot at FIL Fondsbank from 2027
FIL Fondsbank holds the securities accounts for the group's Altersvorsorgedepot and advertises it on a page of its own for retail customers. The offer was announced by Fidelity International.
What the commitment covers
Announced on 8 May 2026, due to start on 1 January 2027. Two variants, both to be distributed directly and through advisers. What the products will finally be called and what they cost has been under the Fidelity entry since 14 September 2026.
The glide path is the interesting part. What is meant is an equity share that reduces automatically as the start of the pension approaches; the provider calls it tailor-made and combines it with active management and global retirement expertise. The principle is an old one.
Fidelity International stands beside it, with an entry of its own. Within the group the tasks are separated. The offering sits with the asset management arm, the depot platform with FFB. FFB is a licensed fund bank. On a page of its own for retail customers it advertises both variants and puts the standard depot at two products, mainly ETFs, with an intended cost limit of one percent a year. That limit is prescribed by law. Anyone signing with FFB has it as their contracting party. For costs and cancellation routes, the distinction makes the difference.
On 14 September 2026 Fidelity published a page of its own on this, headed „Vor Marktstart wissen, was zählt: Das Altersvorsorgedepot von Fidelity und FFB“ — know what counts before market launch: the Altersvorsorgedepot from Fidelity and FFB. With that the provider names the division itself, and in a title. The page is dated September 2026 and carries the reference MK17772. It is aimed at sales partners and shows a recording that the provider expressly does not intend for retail investors. No cost figures appear in the text of the page.
Since 14 September 2026 the bank's role has been clearly named. It appears as the product provider and takes on custody, subsidy management and certification. So the terms of the three products are under the Fidelity entry and not here. For the first half of 2027 the platform is to be open to other providers as well.
The key facts
About FIL Fondsbank
FIL Fondsbank, or FFB for short, is based in Kronberg im Taunus and by its own account holds more than 700,000 securities accounts with €49.5 billion in assets. It belongs to the British-rooted asset manager Fidelity International. Within the group the roles are separate. FIL Investment Services GmbH brokers and advises; it is not an authorised institution. The securities accounts are held by its sister company FFB. That separation decides whose name ends up on the contract.
