Santander / Openbank in the provider monitor

Altersvorsorgedepot at Santander / Openbank from 2027

in preparation

Santander runs the page under openbank.de and shows three subsidy variants there. As partners the company names Openbank, ERGO and Santander Asset Management. A sentence in which it declares itself the provider is still missing.

Where things stand

The page has moved. What stood at santander.de is today at openbank.de/produkte/vorsorgen/altersvorsorgedepot, and the old address redirects there. Three tiles still show a guarantee product, an Altersvorsorgedepot and a standard securities account.

The only reference to itself was lost in the process. Up to 30 September 2026 it said there that experience and expertise were being pooled with Openbank, ERGO and Santander Asset Management. The word ERGO does not appear a single time in the whole markup today, counted on 6 October 2026.

The entry therefore stays at in preparation, and on weaker grounds than before. The page describes the statutory variants and gives 2027 as the start date, but nowhere says that Santander or Openbank offers them itself. Who would become the contracting party is not stated there either.

The waiting list can no longer be found either. The word does not appear in the markup, and the earlier note saying it would start shortly has disappeared.

About Santander / Openbank

Openbank Deutschland AG is the Santander group's German retail presence, grown out of Santander Consumer Bank. Its head office is in Mönchengladbach.

Answered briefly

Does Santander offer an Altersvorsorgedepot?
That is open. There is a product page with three variants, but no sentence in which the provider commits to offering them.
Who would be my contracting party at Santander?
That is not on the page. According to the imprint the operator is Openbank Deutschland AG; ERGO and Santander Asset Management are also named, without roles being assigned.
What does Santander's offering cost?
The product page describes the offering but names no fee. Only the schedule of fees that follows certification turns a statement into a price.
