What the commitment covers

Württembergische committed itself on 8 May 2026. The chief executive of Württembergische Lebensversicherung is quoted by name saying that it will be in the market with a varied, modern range of products at the launch of the new subsidy in early 2027. A board-level quote with a name attached is the strongest evidence we award.

The product page gets specific, and that is exactly where it becomes interesting. The offering is to come within a life insurance policy, with run-off management, investment in the guarantee assets and a lifelong annuity option — so as an insurance product that uses the Altersvorsorgedepot subsidy. Not a securities depot.

This is precisely the case the usual comparison sites suppress. They list Württembergische in the same table as neobrokers, although the product is built quite differently. So we separate out the role and show it above in the facts. Anyone wanting to compare costs has to know whether what they are looking at is a depot or a policy.

On 12 August 2026 the product page was updated. It now carries a sentence no other provider puts this plainly: the subsidy-eligible product is not yet available because certification is outstanding. Alongside it runs a voucher promotion worth €15 towards signing up later, expressly not for standard depots taken out online. A product without authorisation is being advertised.

On 20 August 2026 the page was updated again, without anything being evidenced in substance. The certification note and the voucher promotion stand there unaltered.

Since 27 August the provider has been advertising a shopping voucher worth €15, valid for taking out the subsidy-eligible product anew and for converting an existing Riester pension, where cover begins by 1 December 2027. Standard depots taken out online are excluded from the voucher. At the same time the page records that the product is not yet available because certification is outstanding.

On 8 September 2026 the page was touched again. What is new is the statement that the depot can optionally be taken out with a guarantee, in which case the money sits in the guarantee assets of Württembergische Lebensversicherung. The voucher expressly does not apply to products taken out online.

What Württembergische Versicherung adds at the start

For a later contract Württembergische gives a shopping voucher worth 15 euros.

Redeemable only after market launch, on signing the contract and after the first premium has been paid.

The company names no deadline for it. It writes itself that the product is not yet available because certification is pending.

Questions and answers

Does Württembergische Versicherung offer an Altersvorsorgedepot?
Yes. Evidence: the provider's website, 12 October 2026. The wording and our verification date are at the top of this page.
Is this a securities account at Württembergische Versicherung?
Not in the strict sense. Württembergische Versicherung offers the product inside an insurance wrapper. That changes the cost structure, the cancellation rules and the payout; do not compare it one to one with a securities account at a bank.
What does the Altersvorsorgedepot cost at Württembergische Versicherung?
The product page describes the offering but names no fee. Only the schedule of fees that follows certification turns a statement into a price.
