Altersvorsorgedepot at Scalable Capital from 2027
Scalable Capital carries the prices in a fee table on the product page. Account, depot, savings plans as well as purchases and sales cost nothing. The zero on fund costs comes with conditions that are on a second page.
What does the Altersvorsorgedepot cost at Scalable Capital?
The account and orders cost nothing, in both models. Ongoing fund costs are 0% in the standard securities account, and start at 0% in the self-directed securities account.

- Securities account
- “€0 for the account and the securities account, savings plans, deposits and withdrawals”
- Order
- “€0 in the standard securities account; in the self-directed securities account €0 with PRIME+, otherwise €0.99”
- ETFs/funds
- “0 % ongoing costs for selected ETFs in the Standard model, in the fee table „0 % p.a. in 2027", limited until 31 December 2027. In the Selbst entscheiden model „ab 0 % p.a.": there the company refunds the ongoing product costs as a Rentenbonus for named ETFs, quarterly and only if a savings plan is in place for the ETF. Its own release of 1 September 2026 names 0.15 % TER for the Standard model, waived in the first year”
- standard securities account
- The 0 % applies only to selected ETFs. The provider's own release of 1 September 2026 additionally names 0.15 % TER in the standard securities account, waived entirely in the first year.
The zero has an expiry date, and it sits in a footnote below the fee table: 31 December 2027. What applies after that, the provider does not say. Nor does it name a reduction in yield — and that is the one figure with which two offers can really be compared.
The commitment in detail
The prices are now on the product page itself, in a fee table of its own. Until recently you had to piece them together in the help centre. The account and the depot, savings plans, deposits and withdrawals cost nothing, in both depot models.
On purchases and sales the models differ. In the standard depot they are free. In the self-directed depot that applies only with PRIME+; otherwise an order costs €0.99.
The most striking figure is a zero with an expiry date. Selected ETFs carry 0% in ongoing costs, limited to 31 December 2027. What applies after that is not stated. Below the table it also says that spreads, product costs and inducements may be added.
There is also a promotion running, and it repays closer reading than it invites. Anyone adding the Altersvorsorgedepot to their account now can win an amount equal to the maximum basic subsidy up to retirement. Win, not receive. Terms of participation apply.
The 0.15 percent is evidenced, and by the provider itself. We carried it as a portal figure for months because it does not appear on the product page. On 5 October 2026 and 7 October 2026 there were no hits at all in the entire markup. It appears in the provider's own release of 1 September 2026, in English and inside a text about fixed-term accounts: „only 0.15% p.a. TER in the standard account, which is completely waived in the first year“. That is a different statement from the fee table, which names 0 percent for selected ETFs until 31 December 2027. Both are recorded here because we do not net them against each other. Read at the source on 9 October 2026.
Since 9 October 2026 the zero has come with conditions. They are not on the product page but on the page „Aktionen und Sonderkonditionen“. The Rentenbonus does not waive the ongoing product costs, it refunds them. Scalable Capital credits them to the settlement account quarterly in arrears and reinvests them, from 1 January 2027. The house names two requirements itself. The ETF has to be held in the depot on the last day of the quarter, and a savings plan has to be in place for that ETF. No savings plan, no credit. Read by us on 15 October 2026.
The Rentenbonus applies to only one of the two variants. In the wording it is calculated „im Altersvorsorgedepot der Variante ‚Selbst entscheiden‘“. For the standard depot the fee table names a figure of its own, 0% p.a. in 2027. Two commitments, two terms. The limit to 31 December 2027 is in the footnote to the fee table; the Rentenbonus carries no end date, instead the reservation that the house may adjust, restrict or discontinue it at any time.
Which ETFs are meant is set down in black and white here. A PDF lists 17 securities with ISIN, from Xtrackers, iShares, Vanguard and one Scalable ETF of its own. No other house in the monitor names its securities with ISIN; checked on 15 October 2026 across all 76 entries. Trade Republic speaks of „mehreren Dutzend“ ETFs and names none of them. The selection is not fixed, the house updates it continuously by its own account.
Two further conditions are circulating in comparison portals. The refund is said to apply only up to €25,000 invested, and from the third year only with at least 15 orders in the main depot. Neither appears on the page „Aktionen und Sonderkonditionen“, on 15 October 2026 zero hits for „25.000“ and for „Orders“ in the section on the Rentenbonus. We therefore do not carry the conditions.
Which products Scalable Capital has announced
Two account models with an ETF focus: the statutory standard securities account and the self-directed securities account, where the choice rests with the saver.
You sign directly with the provider. Payouts begin at 65 at the earliest and the drawdown plan runs at least until 85 — both figures that few providers state at all so far. Nothing is certified yet.

About Scalable Capital
