What does the Altersvorsorgedepot cost at flatex?

In the Standarddepot Core the account and the contract cost nothing, and savings plans and one-off purchases carry no order commission. flatex refunds the product costs of the ETFs for the first five years; after that they come to at most 0.07% a year.

Standarddepot Core
neither account nor contract fees. plus the usual market spreads. For the first five years flatex refunds the product costs. Its own release says „at least for the first 5 years“, the product page „for the first five years“; we carry the more cautious version.
Standarddepot Plus
By its own account the provider will announce the terms in good time before launch.
Altersvorsorgedepot Flex
By its own account the provider will announce the terms in good time before launch.

Two things are not in that zero. The refund is time-limited — after five years you pay the fund costs yourself, and 0.07% is then a ceiling, not a promise of a fixed price. And the prices apply to only one of the three variants: for the Standarddepot Plus and the Altersvorsorgedepot Flex the provider says itself that terms will follow in good time before launch. flatex names no reduction in yield.

What lies behind the commitment

There is still no explicit sentence of commitment on the page, but there is a product name, a payout calculator and a pre-registration under the button „Jetzt Platz sichern“. As at the other providers, a waiting list counts here as a commitment.

flatex is a special case in the monitor. There is a page on the Altersvorsorgedepot, it sits in the navigation under „Produkte“, and it offers a pension-report calculator, a waiting list and even a telephone hotline of its own for the subject. Only nowhere does flatex write in so many words that it will offer an Altersvorsorgedepot itself.

So our rating rests on circumstantial evidence that together weighs heavily. No company sets up a hotline of its own for a product it is not planning. The waiting list and the product navigation point the same way. We flag this openly so that nobody assumes a verbatim quote that does not exist.

One detail argues against the page being maintained. The FAQ still says the Bundesrat's approval is outstanding. It was given in May 2026. On 12 August 2026 flatex added a section on the Frühstartrente, the early-start pension, to the page and left the wrong sentence standing; on 25 August it was still there. Anyone using the page to find out where things stand should bear that in mind.

On 24 September 2026 the provider named prices, in a release of its own and on the product page. In the Standarddepot Core the account and the contract cost nothing, savings plans and one-off purchases carry no order commission, and flatex refunds the product costs of the ETFs for the first five years. After that they come to at most 0.07% a year. This applies only to the Standarddepot Core. For the Standarddepot Plus and the Altersvorsorgedepot Flex the provider has not yet named any terms.

Which products flatex has announced

Three named variants: Standarddepot Core, Standarddepot Plus and Altersvorsorgedepot Flex. So far there are prices only for Core. Flex is the open variant, with up to 25 products to choose from according to the provider.

You sign directly with the provider. flatex does not say on the product page who the contracting party will be, and none of the three products is certified yet. Without certification there is no subsidy, whatever a provider announces.

About flatex

flatex started in 2006 and, with around seven million customers, is one of Europe's largest online brokers. The company behind it, flatexDEGIRO Bank SE of Frankfurt am Main, is a full credit institution, holds the securities itself and is covered by the deposit protection fund of the private banks. No partner is needed for that.
