What lies behind the commitment

The commitment is concrete and dated. A press release of its own from 13 October 2026 names the product and the date: the Standarddepot from 1 January 2027. Chief executive Katrin Gruber is quoted. That puts CosmosDirekt outside the group of providers that merely describe a topic.

The wrapper is the unusual part. Here the Standarddepot is an insurance product and not a securities account at a bank — the company explicitly advertises combining „the opportunities of the capital markets with the advantages of an insurance product". Anyone who wants it ends up with a lifelong pension instead of a payout. Anyone comparing costs has to read that alongside.

On costs there is a direction and no figure. „Well below the statutory maximum" means: under one percent in effective costs a year. How far below, the company does not say, and the statutory cap is not a provider's price. We expect a figure with the key information document.

On the investment there is a commitment that goes beyond the legal minimum: towards retirement the investment is adjusted step by step. That is a lifecycle, and the company names it as an advantage for security during the transition. Which funds or ETFs it holds is not yet stated.
