Where things stand

The sentence sounds like a commitment, and it is one — just not for what we are looking for. Itzehoer will offer attractive products from 2027 too, with which customers can provide for themselves individually and to best effect. An Altersvorsorgedepot is nowhere mentioned in it. The page speaks of various retirement contracts, and that is the umbrella term which covers an entirely ordinary unit-linked annuity policy as well.

That places the provider between two groups. Die Bayerische says nothing about itself; Concordia names a date and a company. Itzehoer says something about itself but does not commit to the product form, and because the difference between a subsidised depot and a unit-linked annuity policy matters considerably to an investor, we would rather enter too little here than too much. For us that means preparation, until the word depot appears there once with reference to the provider itself.

The page itself is hard to find. Very hard indeed. It hangs in no navigation, the short address returns an error, and it could only be tracked down through the sitemap. The button promising a subsidy comparison calculator leads to the adviser search. There is no calculator.

On 15 September 2026 the page names the Altersvorsorgedepot twice, in an FAQ heading and in the first answer. It does so as a description of the statutory change. Itzehoer commits to no depot of its own, and none appears in the Leben und Vorsorge product navigation. The page carries no date.
