What does the Altersvorsorgedepot cost at DekaBank?

The securities account and the management of state allowances cost nothing in either variant. What you pay for is what sits in the account: 0.1% a year in the standard securities account, 1.0% to 1.5% in the individual product, depending on the term of the contract.

Deka expressly names effective costs, not the ongoing fund charge. That is the wider term, and it is exactly this figure that the law caps at 1.0% for the standard securities account — Deka comes in at a tenth of that. Nothing is binding all the same. Every figure is subject to approval by BaFin, which the provider expects in November. There is still no price and services list.

What lies behind the commitment

On 9 September 2026 Deka presented its retirement offering with figures. The depot and subsidy administration are free in both variants. In the standard depot 0.1% a year applies, and solely for the two underlying ETFs, a globally investing equity fund and a European bond fund.

The standard depot comes in two forms. In the classic variant the money sits entirely in the equity ETF at first; five years before the planned start of the pension the equity share falls to 50%, and two years before that by a further 20%. In the individual variant the equity share can be managed by the customer in the Sparkassen app on the same terms.

Beside that stands an actively managed individual product built from up to three fund blocks. It costs between 1.0 and 1.5% a year depending on the contract term and is offered in a growth-oriented and a balanced model.

One caveat is stated expressly in the release. All terms apply subject to approval by BaFin, which is expected in November. So the figures are not yet binding. Sales start in January 2027 at all local Sparkassen and through the Sparkassen app.

Alongside the standard depot comes the Frühstartrente for children and young people, the early-start pension, and according to the provider at the same 0.1% in effective costs as in the standard depot. The BaFin caveat applies here too. So nothing is binding.

Which products DekaBank has announced

Two products. What separates them is not the price alone but who steers the investment. The standard securities account holds two passively managed Deka ETFs, a globally investing equity fund and a European bond fund; the provider sets the mix. The individual product is actively managed, built from up to three fund blocks.

Sales run through the local Sparkassen and the Sparkassen app. The release describes no way of signing up directly with Deka, and the provider does not yet name who the contracting party will be.

Questions and answers

Does DekaBank offer an Altersvorsorgedepot?
Yes. Evidence: a press release of 9 September 2026. The wording and our verification date are at the top of this page.
What has DekaBank already decided, and what not?
The offering and the price are decided. Certification is open, and BaFin still has to approve the terms; the provider expects that in November.
What does the Altersvorsorgedepot cost at DekaBank?
The securities account and subsidy administration are free in both variants. On top of that, the standard securities account adds 0.1% a year, and only for the underlying ETFs. The individual product costs 1.0% to 1.5%, depending on the contract term. Nothing is binding yet. All terms are subject to BaFin approval, which the provider expects in November.
Are the 0.1% the reduction in yield or only the fund costs?
Here they are one and the same. DekaBank speaks of effective costs, and that is the figure the law caps at 1.0% for the standard securities account. It applies only to the two underlying ETFs; the account itself is free. At other providers it is worth a second look: an ongoing fund charge is not the same as the reduction in yield.
Do I sign with Deka or with my Sparkasse?
Through the Sparkassen. The release describes no way of signing up directly with Deka. Who your contracting party will be, the provider does not yet say.
