What lies behind the commitment

On 8 September 2026 we found a product page of its own that had not been there before. On it are two named models and a subsidy calculator, plus the sentence that two offerings will be available from early 2027. The blog post from June remains alongside it.

Consorsbank supplies the clearest wording by any provider in the whole field. A post of 15 June 2026 says the bank will offer both the Altersvorsorgedepot and the standard depot from 2027. No “expected to”, no “we are planning”. The sentence is dated, attributable and names both product types individually.

Two routes are described. The Altersvorsorgedepot with free choice of securities is aimed at investors who want to decide for themselves, while the statutory standard depot comes with a set combination of two securities, optionally with a sustainability approach. Retail investors are to be able to sign up directly with Consorsbank.

On the Frühstartrente, the early-start pension, the provider expressly holds back. It names no costs either. That is consistent, because without certification by the Federal Central Tax Office no provider can produce a reliable schedule of fees.

Since 9 October 2026 the FAQ table describes what the standard securities account is to look like. Two preselected funds, one defensive with a risk indicator of 1 or 2, one growth-oriented with 3, 4 or 5. Plus a sentence no other provider writes: „Angedacht ist auch eine Variante mit ESG-Ansatz.“ Under consideration is not a commitment, and that is how we record it. The two models are now called Flexibles Altersvorsorgedepot and Standarddepot on the page. The bank still names no charges.

About Consorsbank

Consorsbank traces back to Consors, founded in Nuremberg in 1994, and has belonged to France's BNP Paribas since 2002. Legally it is no longer a company in its own right but a brand of the group's German branch, supervised by the ECB, BaFin and the French authorities ACPR and AMF. It holds the securities accounts itself.
